Cookie Policy

1. About this Policy and Briana Global Limited

This Cookie Policy explains how Briana Global Limited uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit, use or interact with a Briana Global website, app, customer portal or other online service that links to this Policy (together, the Online Services). It explains the choices available to you. It should be read with our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy), which explains how we handle personal information more generally, including information about third parties and overseas disclosures.

In this Policy, Briana Global, we, us and our mean Briana Global Limited. You means a visitor to, user of, or person interacting with, an Online Service.

Briana Global is registered on the New Zealand Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR) under FSP1010808. As verified on 9 September 2026, the FSPR record lists the following registered financial services: changing foreign currency; issuing or managing means of payment; and operating a money or value transfer service.

FSPR registration is not a licence and is not a New Zealand government or regulator endorsement of Briana Global or its services. New Zealand does not have a specific general licence for e-money or payment service providers. Other legal or regulatory requirements may apply according to the relevant business model and activity.

Briana Global is not a broker and does not offer contracts for difference, derivatives, securities, investment advice, lending or credit, deposit accounts, or cryptocurrency services.

Nothing in this Policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Privacy Act 2020.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies and similar technologies can help an online service work, remember a setting, understand technical performance, or support other stated purposes. In this Policy, similar technologies includes the following:

Cookies are small text files that a website asks a browser to store on a computer, phone or other device. They may be session cookies, which usually expire when the browser session ends, or persistent cookies, which remain until their stated expiry or deletion.

Local storage is storage within a browser or app environment that can retain information on a device. It may not have the same expiry behaviour as a browser cookie.

Pixels are small pieces of code or image requests that can record that a page, message or other content has been viewed or interacted with.

Software development kits (SDKs) are software components included in an app that may collect or send technical, app-use or device information to provide a particular function.

Device identifiers are identifiers associated with a browser, app installation, operating system or device. Depending on how they are used and combined with other information, they may be capable of identifying or being linked to a person.

The technology actually used, the information involved and the duration of storage can differ by Online Service, browser, device and purpose. Not every technology described in this Policy is necessarily used on every Online Service.

3. Our approach to categories and choice

Only technologies that are strictly necessary to provide an Online Service or to maintain its security may run by default. If an Online Service uses optional analytics, functionality or marketing technologies, those technologies will be listed in a Cookie Preference Centre or equivalent settings tool made available on that Online Service. Where consent is required by applicable law, those optional technologies will be disabled until you give that consent.

A technology is not treated as strictly necessary merely because it is useful, convenient or desirable. We assess the purpose and operation of technologies before assigning them to a category.

Category

Typical purpose

Default position and your choice

Strictly Necessary

To provide a function you request, such as managing a session, enabling sign-in, routing traffic or retaining a choice needed for the Online Service to operate.

May operate by default only where strictly necessary. These technologies may not be switchable through a preference tool because the requested feature may not operate without them.

Security

To help protect the Online Services, accounts, users and systems; maintain integrity; investigate or respond to technical security concerns; and help prevent misuse or unauthorised activity. This can include activity that supports applicable legal obligations, including AML/CFT obligations where relevant.

May operate by default only where necessary for security or the requested service. Their use is subject to applicable law and proportionate assessment.

Functionality

To remember optional settings or improve how an Online Service works for you, for example a display or preference setting.

Optional. Listed in the applicable preference tool and disabled until consent where consent is required.

Analytics

To understand how Online Services are used or perform, identify errors, and help plan improvements.

Optional. Listed in the applicable preference tool and disabled until consent where consent is required.

Marketing

To measure or tailor Briana Global marketing, where this activity is used and permitted.

Optional. Listed in the applicable preference tool and disabled until consent where consent is required.

No third-party advertising cookie, pixel, SDK or similar identifier is used unless it is identified in the applicable preference tool and used in accordance with the choices and legal requirements that apply.

4. Technology inventory and the Cookie Preference Centre

We will maintain an inventory of technologies actually deployed through the Online Services. We will not use generic examples or future possibilities as a substitute for information about a technology that is live.

Where optional technologies are used, the applicable preference tool is the current source for those technologies on the relevant Online Service. For each listed optional technology, it will provide meaningful information appropriate to the technology, which may include:

its name or identifier and, where relevant, its provider;

whether it is first-party or third-party and the relevant website domain, app or software component;

its category and specific purpose;

the information or device data involved, where appropriate;

its storage period on the browser or device, where applicable;

the available choice or control; and

a link or reference to relevant third-party information where applicable.

We will update the applicable inventory and preference controls when a material change is made to optional technology, its purpose or the relevant third-party involvement. Where the law requires fresh consent for a material change, we will seek it before continuing the affected optional processing.

The applicable preference tool does not replace the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy gives further information about personal information, including how to contact us, how to seek access to or correction of personal information, and our approach to third-party and overseas disclosures.

5. Why we may use necessary and security technologies

We may use strictly necessary and security technologies only for purposes connected with providing, protecting and administering the Online Services. Depending on the Online Service and the technology, these purposes may include:

enabling requested navigation, sign-in, session continuity and account access;

retaining a cookie-preference choice or other setting that is needed for the Online Service to respond to that choice;

maintaining the availability, integrity and technical security of an Online Service;

detecting, preventing, investigating or responding to suspected technical misuse, fraud or unauthorised activity; and

meeting applicable legal obligations, including AML/CFT obligations where relevant to the activity.

This section does not mean that every technology used for security, fraud prevention or compliance is necessarily non-optional. We assess the particular technology, data and purpose before deciding whether it may operate by default or needs a choice.

6. Privacy, transparency and personal information

New Zealand privacy law applies where information collected through cookies or similar technologies is personal information. The Privacy Act 2020 requires personal information to be collected for lawful purposes connected with an organisation's functions or activities, and only where collection is necessary for those purposes. It also requires appropriate notice, fair collection, protection, purpose-limited use and disclosure, and retention no longer than is required for a lawful purpose.

This Policy, any applicable preference tool and the Privacy Policy are intended to provide relevant information at or before collection. We will consider the circumstances of collection, the technology used, the information involved and the applicable law when determining what further notice, choice or control is required.

Where Briana Global holds personal information generated through a technology, you may have rights to request access to, and correction of, that information under the Privacy Act 2020. Please see the Privacy Policy or contact us at support@brianaglobal.com. Your browser or device controls are separate from these statutory privacy rights.

7. Third parties and overseas disclosures

Some Online Services may use a third-party provider to supply a feature, analytics, security function or other service. A third party will be identified in the applicable preference tool when the relevant optional technology is actually deployed. A third party's own notice may also apply to information it handles in connection with its technology.

Where the use of a technology involves the disclosure of personal information to a third party, including a recipient outside New Zealand, the [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy) contains our broader information about third-party handling and overseas disclosures. An applicable preference-tool entry will provide technology-specific information where appropriate. We will consider the requirements that apply to an overseas disclosure of personal information before making that disclosure.

The fact that a technology is operated by a third party does not remove the need for Briana Global to consider its own privacy obligations.

8. Retention and deletion

The period for which a cookie or similar technology remains on a browser or device depends on its purpose and configuration. Where optional technology is used, the applicable preference tool will state its storage period where relevant. Necessary and security technology may have a session-based or persistent duration according to its assessed purpose.

Browser or device storage duration is not necessarily the same as the period for which related information is retained in Briana Global's systems or by a relevant third party. Any related personal information is retained only for as long as needed for a lawful purpose, subject to applicable legal obligations and the retention information in the Privacy Policy or other relevant notice.

Deleting a cookie, clearing local storage, resetting a device identifier or withdrawing consent may not by itself delete information that has already been received and retained separately. Any request to access, correct or otherwise deal with personal information we hold should be made using the contact details in the Privacy Policy.

9. Managing your preferences and device controls

If an Online Service uses optional technologies, you can review or change the available choices through the Cookie Settings control or equivalent preference tool on that Online Service. Where an app provides an in-app privacy or tracking setting for an optional technology, you may also use that setting. If no optional technology is deployed, a Cookie Settings control may not be displayed.

You may also be able to control cookies and some local storage through browser settings, or manage certain app permissions and identifiers through your device operating system settings. Browser and device settings differ by product and version. They may not control every technology, such as all SDKs, pixels, server-side records or information already sent before a setting is changed.

Withdrawing consent affects the future use of the affected optional technologies. The applicable preference tool will explain any technology-specific consequence of changing a preference. If you block, delete or restrict strictly necessary or security technologies through browser or device controls, some parts of an Online Service may not work as intended, you may need to sign in again, or a requested service may be unavailable.

Optional functionality may be less personalised if you do not allow it. Optional analytics or marketing choices should not be necessary to use the core Online Services, unless a particular feature is clearly identified otherwise and this is permitted by applicable law.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may change this Policy to reflect changes in law, our Online Services, or the technologies and practices described in it. We will publish the updated Policy with a revised version number and effective date. We will also update any applicable preference tool. If a change to optional technology or its purpose requires consent under applicable law, we will seek that consent before activating or continuing the affected optional technology.
